Computer Relocation / Datasafe Logistics
The Dataserv standard service level covers:
Collection
Dataserv arranges for pick-up and shipping, contacting you to schedule a convenient pick-up at your location.
Packaging of equipment (“program managed”)
Dataserv takes care of your computer hardware packaging at your location. Your computer hardware is consolidated on-site at a central location with pallet access to an exit.
Customer pre-packed
The customer arranges for packing of the equipment at customer site. The equipment can be packed on pallets or in boxes consolidated on-site at a central location with pallet access to an exit.
Drop-off services
The customer arranges for packing of the equipment at customer site, as well as the transportation of the equipment to our facility.
On-site Data Erasure
Dataserv’s professional team of technicians will provide a full data sanitization service. Using our own portable unit, we’ll completely eradicate all traces of data from each HDD. This system will provide a hard copy evidentiary proof of the successful completion of the process. For any HDD which fails this process, Dataserv provides an on site degausser for total obliteration of all data on the faulty HDD.
You can be 100% certain that the data on your hard drives has been completely erased, even before the asset leaves your premises. Once completely clear of data, items are either remarketed or broken down and recycled.
On-site sanitization can be implemented on a one-off or periodic basis. Out of office hours services can be arranged on request.
Dataserv can provide lock boxes for small devices (memory sticks, Blackberry’s etc.,) which can then be put through any of the option processes. Dataserv welcomes impromptu and planned inspection audits of our facilities and processes.

Dataserv’s unique IT Asset Disposal services ensure that not only is your information and data securely protected, but you can also rest assured that your IT assets will always be disposed of safely, even after they have been re-used.
Dataserv’s unique system means that any IT assets fit for re-use will be kept within our leasing system. These assets will be leased out to small and medium sized enterprises in the developing world.
Without this system, your IT equipment has effectively fallen into a void; resold to unknown users, who might then dispose of it inappropriately. Within our Complete Chain of Custody, the equipment is always recycled at the final end of its lifecycle.
You get the full market value of your IT assets, as well as the knowledge that your data is secured, your equipment will always be disposed of safely, and that by using Dataserv you are helping developing economies.
The process of collecting your used IT equipment is simple: Dataserv ‘s teams pick up all redundant product back to Dataserv’s Southern Ontario processing facility where we fully test, audit and data wipe, as relevant, and provide reporting on each collection. The final part of our process is to then provide onward treatment according to each individual clients programme.
